FISHING AT LAKE CUYAMACA
IMPORTANT! During the annual Duck Hunt in December and January, fishing is restricted to the area between the dam and the dike on Wednesdays, and Sunday mornings.
Lake Cuyamaca is an angler's paradise!
It's location, about an hour from anywhere in San Diego County, makes it perfect for a day trip filled with
fishing and relaxation.
At 4,600 feet, the climate is colder in the winter and
throughout the year, allowing us to be San Diego County’s only year-round trout fishery.
With a valid Lake Cuyamaca fishing permit and a CA State Fishing License, fishing is allowed from an hour before sunrise until an hour after sunset.
NIGHT FISHING IS NOT ALLOWED.
