Fishing Fees and Catch Limits
Everyone 16 and older needs a California State Fishing License
as well as a Lake Cuyamaca Fishing Permit to fish on Lake Cuyamaca.
8 to 15 year olds only need a Lake Fishing Permit. 7 and under fish for free under a licensed adult.
With a valid Lake Cuyamaca Fishing Permit and a CA State Fishing License, fishing is allowed from an hour before sunrise until an hour after sunset.
NIGHT FISHING IS NOT ALLOWED.
Lake Cuyamaca Daily Fishing Permits
Adult (16 to 64): $10
Youth (8 to 15): $5
Child 7 and under: Free with paying adult
Senior, disabled, military, veterans, 1st responders: $5

Two day license: $31.06
365 day license: $61.82

Catch Limits
Trout: limit 5, no catch and release, MUST KEEP
Channel Catfish: limit 5, release or keep
Crappie: limit 25, release or keep
Bluegill: limit 25, release or keep
Largemouth Bass: limit 5, release or keep
Smallmouth Bass: MUST RELEASE
Bullhead Catfish: no limit, release or keep
Sturgeon: IMMEDIATE CATCH AND RELEASE REQUIRED PER CURRENT CDFW REGULATIONS
